Description

A Summer's Day is a recent addition to my Street Series. When I saw these clothes waving to and fro in the summer breeze it took me back to a time when things were much simpler. The smell of the summer breeze dries into your clothes leaving them smelling so fresh. I remember that it took longer but you went about your business while the sun beat down and as it did it's work you did yours. Clotheslines are made of any type of cord or rope and hang suspended from the ground between two poles or sticks whether it be indoors or outdoors.In Scotland, many tenement buildings have a drying green which is a communal area predominantly used for clothes lines and may also be used as a recreational space.
