The rain hung heavily in the atmosphere so thick you could reach out and grab a hold of it. Each wave rushed forward pushing upward to meet the mist hanging down from the evening sky. Like the beat of a heart the clouds glowed through the mist waving farewell to the passing day. I watched until nothing was left before me except a smoky gray tinge snaking across a blue black sky. Shiny stars twinkled parting the mist, and the world was aglow with a soft ethereal light reflecting like tiny diamonds off the rolling waves.
