This is an addition to my Tree Series from New Years morning 2014 of the sun rising on the New Year welcoming the year of the Horse. My eyes sprung open and I hurried to greet the day I was determined this morning. Last night I almost slept through New Years. I was not going to miss the day beginning for anything. I knew it was cold out around 15 degrees so I started pulling on the layers preparing to meet the frigid temperatures. Rushing outside clutching my camera, I adjusted it as soon as I flung the door open . This was the sunrise I had waited for all year and I did not want to miss one minute. There it was off to my right from where I stood. A brand new chapter, a new day beginning, and most of all a whole new year full of amazing possibilities just waiting to take a breath. It was there being born right before my eyes. My smile grew as the sun rose and I could feel the promise waiting on the other side of those trees. 2014 may it hold wonderful possibilities for each one of us:))
