A recent addition to my Flower series is Lily-Digital Art. The Lily was very revered by the Greeks where these flowers held a role in ancient mythology. The word lily was derived from the Greek word leiron which was generally assumed to refer to the white Madonna lily. They believed this stunning flower sprouted from the milk of Hera, queen of the gods. Interest in floriography soared in Victorian England and in the United States during the 19th century. Gifts of blooms, plants, and specific floral arrangements were used to send a coded message to the recipient, allowing the sender to express feelings which could not be spoken aloud in Victorian society.Armed with floral dictionaries, Victorians often exchanged small "talking bouquets," called nosegays or tussie-mussies, which could be worn or carried as a fashion accessory. Each flower having it's own individual meaning a grand way of expressing themselves without uttering a single word.

Evoke a feeling or emotion.. To look upon something and get lost in it's depths.. A feeling of inner peace for the viewer.. Always learning new ways to see something old ..These are the things I hold in the highest regard. I am intrigued by so many things in nature. There is such a peace there that I enjoy conveying through my art. Focusing on the blessings I feel as each new day is set before me is truly a gift each and every time. Hi I am Robyn King:-) I am a photographer and fine artist who strives to connect to people on a deep, emotional level. I truly enjoy living in the moment and the beauty that surrounds us in this world. Awakening early to photograph the sunrise is one of my greatest joys. I invite you to step into my world,...
