It was early morning and I had woken up at 4 a.m. hoping to get a glimpse of the two owls that had been visiting our yard late at night. I had my camera with me and was hoping at least to see them if not get lucky enough to get a decent image of them. I figured the light conditions were not wonderful but I waited sitting under the huge green ash tree anyhow. If they stopped back this was the best place to wait. The sky was slowly starting to lighten just a little in the sky beyond the other houses when one owl swooped in and landed on the branch a few feet away. All I could see was a shadow but it was definitely the right size. It sat there looking back at me so I had to take a chance and try for a shot of him.I took the picture and got nothing since he flew away before the shutter ever landed. Oh well maybe next time:) Instead of the owls I was drawn to capture these morning glories opening to catch the morning sunshine. They were so beautiful and it amazed me as the sunlight hit their petals they awakened to greet the day right before my eyes. Such a lovely sight and a lovely way to start any day:)
