Description

Frozen Delaware River Sunset is a recent addition to my River Series. I was dressed in several layers and the temperatures were cold enough that the river was frozen almost solid. As the sun set the final rays of light created a rainbow of colors glinting off the sheen of the rivers glossy frozen surface. Shifting crackling sounds could be heard as the ice shifted in the weak spots from the sunlight melting the surface. I took a final long look as the sun disappeared behind the line of trees as the sky painted itself a parting dusty pink.
